Annette Schwartz Etinger, 78, died Monday, May 1, 2000, in Oceanside, Calif.

She was born in Fargo, N.C., and was a longtime resident of Columbus and Akron, moving to San Diego in 1988. A graduate of Ohio State, she was a member of Temple Israel and its Sisterhood, Rosemont Country Club, and was an avid golfer and bridge player.

Preceded in death by husband, Albert Schwartz, she was the beloved mother of Dr. Joel (Liang) Schwartz of Owens Mills, Md., Gail M. Schwartz of Washington, D.C., and Michael Kovacevich of Akron; dearest grandmother of two; and dear sister of Sibyl (Alfred) Krausz of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Rita (Milton) Cline-Marks of Dayton, Ohio, and Mark (Myra) Zalk of Dallas, Texas.

A graveside service will be held TODAY, 2:30 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery (Temple Israel Section 12B), with Cantor Samuel Berman officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Disease Research or a favorite charity. (Gordon, 836-7989.)
